Georgina Kincaid has been a succubus for millennia. She traded in her soul so no one from her life would remember her or her unforgivable act.
To fulfill her duties to Hell and to sustain her life's energy, she does all sorts of sexy things with men, taking years off their lives in the process.
Throughout all her years, she's only been in love a few times, but each time the men have been creative-types with pure souls. And this time is no different.
Seth Mortensen is everything she wants in a man, but refuses to let herself have. He's cute, he's good, he's creative, and the author of her favorite series.
So much more than Sex. Yes, there is a lot of the good stuff, but the series is so much more than that. First and foremost, Georgina Kincaid series is a love story. An epic one.
Richelle writes people, not characters. If there is one thing you can count on when reading a Richelle Mead series, is that the characters she creates become real people in your minds. There is a depth to them that is hard to find in other books. They're flawed, they make terrible decisions, they have quirks, they are lovable. They're one of a kind.
Wait for it. As always in a Richelle series, you'll find that she's a master at making things come full circle. When you get to the last book, you'll realize she has weaved this elaborate web from the beginning.
“Love is rarely flawless,” Carter pointed out. “Humans delude themselves by thinking it has to be. It is the imperfection that makes love perfect.” ― Richelle Mead, Succubus Blues
Narrator: Elisabeth Rogers does a fantastic job of capturing Georgina Kincaid's voice. I'm not Richelle Mead, but I'd bet she intended every word to be read as Elisabeth does. She gives life to each character. As I listened I wondered if the great narration was due to Elsabeth's imagination or Richelle's well-developed characters. I'd bet its both.
