If There's No Tomorrow

Updated: Jan 26

Yesterday. Lena Wise and her friends are making college plans, going on summer vacations, and partying it up one last time before they start their senior year of high school .

For years she's been in love with her hot as West Virginia next door neighbor, Sebastian, but she's never told him or her friends.

Today. One bad decision later, Lena loses the opportunity to tell one of them forever.

She doesn't know how she'll go back to school, how she'll love again, how she'll ever be happy again when they won't.

And she knew she could have stopped it. But no one else does.

Tomorrow. Lena will always regret the choice she made, but she learns that sometimes good people make bad decisions.

Trust Jennifer. I'll admit, I had my reservations about reading a book that promises to be devastating right on the cover, but I shouldn't have doubted Jennifer. She has the ability to pull you into a dark emotional pit, but still leave a light on.

She even uses Lena to tell the reader that we'll have our happy ending even when it doesn't seem like it's possible. Jennifer, Jennifer, you're a sly girl. I see what you did there.

Speak Up. The message is clear, speak up. Do what's right, not what's cool.

“I knew I couldn’t go back and start a new beginning. I couldn’t rewrite the middle. All I could do was change tomorrow, as long as I had one.” ― Jennifer L. Armentrout, If There's No Tomorrow
